New regulation concerning containers with returning empty packaging materials
From August 1, 2018, an import declaration is required for containers with returning empty packaging materials. From this date, customs authorities will no longer accept the ‘permission’ method for returning empty packaging materials. Instead, the following two methods are possible to be able to transport containers with returning packaging materials:
– By declaring an import declaration in AGS, claiming the exemption under Article 203, paragraph 1 of the Union Customs Code.
– The shipbroker may declare the returning packaging in DMF, declaring the status C. The declaration of this status in DMF is only reserved for the shipbroker.
